といったルールがあります。
田代島では、島民の方々や私たちが猫に食事を提供しています。食事の時間は健康チェックの貴重な機会であり、生存確認、食欲の有無、怪我の有無などを確認し、異常があれば早期発見と適切な手当てを行います。こうした管理を行うためには、日常のルーティンが重要です。勝手に餌を与えられると、猫が給餌場所に戻らず、生存確認や健康チェックが困難になる可能性があります。また、道路上に餌を撒いたままにすると、猫が退かずに車が通過するため、交通事故の危険性が高まります。猫じゃらしやマタタビも、猫が誤って摂取する可能性があり、健康に悪影響を及ぼすことがあるばかりでなく、道路上で遊ぶことによって事故が発生したり、島の生活に支障をきたしたりするおそれがあります。そのため、これらの使用は遠慮いただいております。
いつ島に遊びに来ても元気な猫たちに癒されることが出来るよう、ご理解とご協力のほど、よろしくお願いいたします。

On Tashiro Island, both island residents and us feed the cats. Feeding time is a valuable opportunity for health checks. We check for signs of well-being, appetite, injuries, and more. If any abnormalities are detected, we strive for early detection and provide necessary care. To conduct this kind of management, daily routines are essential. If food is given at random times, it becomes difficult for the cats to return to the feeding area, which can result in difficulties in health checks and overall management. Additionally, leaving food on the road can lead to traffic accidents because the cats won’t move even when cars pass by.
Regarding cat toys and catnip, there are concerns about cats ingesting them, which can harm their health. Also, playing with these items on the road can cause accidents and disrupt island life. Therefore, we kindly request your cooperation in refraining from using them.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation so that you can always enjoy the company of healthy and lively cats when you visit the island.
船（網地島ライン）の運航に関しての注意点 - Points to Consider Regarding the Operation of the Ajishima Line Ferry
田代島に来島するには網地島ラインのシーキャットもしくはマーメイドⅡに乗船する必要があります。気象状況によっては欠航になることがございます。特に台風がきているわけでなく予報は晴れでも、風が強いと波が高くなり欠航することがあります。欠航リスクを予想するポイントは「南風」です。田代島のある海域は南に波を遮る陸がないためか、南風が強く（具体的には８ｍ前後）吹くと波が高くなります。特に中央・門脇乗り場の河口はその影響を受けやすく、「南風が強い」と欠航する可能性が出てきます。ご来島の際にチェックする参考にしてください。
また、網地島ラインでは、朝船を出せても帰りの船の運航が保障できない場合は、渡航を控えるようアナウンスしています。その際は、無理はせず、渡航を控えていただけると助かります。船が出ず帰られなくても自己責任だと言っても、船に乗せて島に渡らせた以上は何とか帰られるよう努力する姿は何度も見てきました。命を預かるという立場を乗せてもらう側も理解して、事前の天候チェックを心がけましょう。なお、帰られなくなった場合、当日予約して泊まれる宿はほぼないので、お気をつけください。
To visit Tashiro Island, you need to board the Sea Cat or Mermaid II operated by the Ajiro Island Line. Please be aware that the ferry service may be canceled due to weather conditions. Especially, even on clear days when there is no typhoon, strong winds can create high waves and result in cancellations. One key point to consider regarding the risk of cancellations is the “south wind.” The waters around Tashiro Island lack land to block the waves to the south, so when strong south winds (typically around 8 meters) blow, the waves become high. The mouth of the central and Monwaki docks is particularly susceptible to this influence, and the possibility of cancellation increases when there is a strong south wind. Please keep this in mind when planning your trip.
Furthermore, the Ajiro Island Line announces that if they can operate the morning ferry but cannot guarantee the operation of the return ferry, they advise travelers to refrain from making the trip. In such cases, it is best not to force the journey, and your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated. Even though it might be said that it’s the traveler’s responsibility if they can’t return due to weather conditions, I have seen numerous instances where every effort is made to ensure the safe return of passengers once they are taken to the island. Both passengers and operators understand the responsibility that comes with carrying lives, so let’s all make an effort to check the weather in advance. Additionally, if you do find yourself unable to return, please be aware that there are almost no accommodations available for same-day bookings.

● 島内には遊泳できる場所はありません。安全上の問題があるため、遊泳しないようお願いします。
● 密漁は厳しく罰せられます。ウニやアワビ等、海産物を捕る行為は絶対にやめてください。
● 島内にはコンビニや銀行はありません。
● 島内で野営はできません。
● ゴミはお持ち帰りください。
- There are no swimming areas on the island due to safety concerns, so please refrain from swimming.
- Poaching is strictly punished. Please do not engage in activities such as catching sea urchins or abalones.
- There are no convenience stores or banks on the island.
- Camping is not allowed on the island.
- Please take your trash with you when you leave the island.
